Community Health & Family Services, Inc. (CHFS) was established in February 2016 with the mission of providing culturally competent programs and services to Haitians, Caribbean and other minorities to improve their quality of life and to empower them as self-sufficient members of the community. To accomplish these goals, the agency offers prevention, education and early intervention services in the areas of teenage pregnancy, school performance, adolescent development, juvenile delinquency, sexually transmitted diseases, HIV/AIDS; substance abuse, family and dating violence, child neglect, job placement and financial literacy. Critical to the success of the agency’s mission is its emphasis on health promotion, skill building, personal and family resiliency.
